Aromatherapy has been around for many thousands of years, the Aromatherapy we know today was founded by a French scientist in the early 1900,s. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils which are extracted from naturally occurring plants, seeds, flowers, woods etc to elicit a natural healing affect to the body and mind.

As a certified Aromatherapist I understand the many uses of Aromatherapy essential oils and in my blog I will be focusing on Aromatherapy skincare. I will share information on Aromatherapy skincare products that are commercially available and how to make your own Aromatherapy Skincare at home, basically anything to do with Aromatherapy skincare.

The essential oils in their raw state are extremely strong and therefore they are added in small amounts to Aromatherapy products. For example I have found this great recipe for aromatherapy bath milk by Janet Rundle.

The recipe makes over 3 cups of Aromatherapy skincare Milk Bath. The all natural ingredients are combined to soothe and nourish your skin, and make it a sensual and relaxing bath.

Aromatherapy Skincare Milk Bath RECIPE:

Ingredients:

2 cup Powdered Milk

1/2 cup Bi-carb soda

1/2 cup Epsom salts

1/2 cup Honey

1 ml (20 drops) Geranium essential oil

.5 ml (10 drops) Mandarin essential oil

.5 ml (10 drops) Ylang Ylang essential oil

handful of Rose Petals(optional)

How To Make:

1. Mix together powdered milk, bi-carb soda, Epsom salts.

2. Put essential oils in a bottle and shake to blend.

3. Heat honey just a little bit (you do not want this very hot, otherwise it will damage the pure Essential Oils)and add essential oils and mix thoroughly.

4. Then combine dry ingredients with honey mixture.

5. Once the mixture is well combined, then add a handful of Rose Petals (optional).

How To Use:

While you are running your bath and when it is almost filled to where you want it add a couple of large tablespoons under the running water. Also make sure that you have your bathroom door closed so that the beautiful aroma from the pure essential oils does not escape, you certainly want to enjoy the aroma while you are bathing, it will certainly enhance the ambience.

When you sell homemade aromatherapy products is it necessary to have insurance/public liability….?

Which is the best to have and how much would this cost? Is it worth the trouble??

Is it a good idea to have insurance? Absolutely. However, the problem is you will need general liability insurance and products liability insurance. It is a problem because products liability insurance is expensive. If you are a small home based business your annual revenue may be less than your products liability annual premium.

The alternative is to incorporate your business so that only the corporation could be liable.

Please let me know of some good Aromatherapy oil wholesalers?? - Not already made skincare. oils, base ingred.

what is the difference between Aromatherapy Oils & Essential Oils?

There is no such thing as Aromatherapy oils. There is Aromatherapy, which is the practice of using essential oils and other fragrant oils to alter mood or health.

Essential oils are just one type of oil used in aromatherapy. The others include, fragrant oils and hyrosols (floral waters).

Is it safe for dogs to lick oils of aromatherapy (carrier oils and essential oils mix) when I massage them ?

Most would be ok but there may be some of the essential oils that should not be taken internally.
Why would you put oil on the dog to massage them? That would not be the best for their coat and maybe not great for their skin either.
You can do T-Touch massage on animals and it does not require the use of any oil.

I'm looking for fairs, expos, events, or wiccan festivals to give out samples of the all natural health, beauty, meditation, and aromatherapy products i make. Or if anyone knows of flea markets where the people may be interested. I live in Milwaukee, but I'm looking for anything within a few hours drive away. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There aren't too many in Mke. There's a Body & Mind Expo that comes to town in the spring.

You may have better luck in the Madison area. MUCH more evolved there!

One other lead is you can check at the House of Magick. If anything is going on, they'd likely know about it.

I just got this in the mail. There's a Spirit Faire being held October 1 and November 26 at Free spirit Crystals in Butler.

I looking for a website with information on herbs…..aromatherapy…..essential oils.
I'm wanting to lean which ones work best for symptoms of sickness and such.

I'm creating a new website business that stems from my experience using essential oils with my massage clients.

Over the past few months many of my clients in person have purchased customized essential oil lotion blends for muscle relief, sleep help, arthiritis relief, etc.

At their encouragement I've put together a website and wondered what you web-savvy folks think I should focus on to improve it.

I have added a merchant account and will have shopping cart/credit card capabilities within the next month or so.

Other than that any ideas?

I just looked through the website. Very nice, original idea. I like the colors, the simple, easy-to-read listings (I don't like super fancy websites), your tone is friendly and professional. You're adding a shopping cart soon, so that's good, and you've got the newsletter sign up…

You might think it's basic and simple, but you have to think of your clientele…people who are looking for aromatherapy (which is something esoteric) are not looking for fancy shamncy…they just want to know that you have what they want so they can get it…A+…I wouldn't change a thing:)

Would you go into a store that sold aromatherapy products as well as new age items )ritualistic items?

Believe it or not the Pagan Community is larger than anyone would think. Don't be slammed by the ignorant. I for one am a Wiccan and I must do all my shopping online which is tough cause u can't see the actual items. If you are really interested, and you get it started up, advertise online through websites dedicated to the pagan community. Try the one listed below.
